MS Bowling practice has been cancelled for Thursday, Jan 29 and was rescheduled for Monday, Feb 2.
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT: There will be a bin placed in the attendance office to collect gently used coats for an elementary school in Glen Cove. The drive starts today and ends by the February break. We would greatly appreciate any coats since the students in this school go to school with light jackets and t-shirts during this cold winter. Clothing in the lost & found will be donated if not claimed by the February break…… so please claim your belongings!!
Art Club will meet on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 2:05-3:05 in room 236. Are you creative? Do you like to draw or paint and make crafts? This is the club for you. You don't have to have any particular talent or ability to join! Mrs. Clarke is the club advisor and if you have questions see her in room 236.
CHINESE CULTURE CLUB is back! We will be making some arts and crafts relating Chinese culture with American ones for the next few meetings! Come join us with your art skills in Rm 222 on Wednesdays!

DIVERSITY DAY practice is Thursdays in room 102. Anyone involved in the show is required to attend these meetings.
GAY-STRAIGHT ALLIANCE meets Wednesdays after school in room 102. We are currently working on an act for Diversity Day and discussing LGBTQ events in the news. Yummy rainbow snacks are always served.
HOMEWORK CLUB with Mrs. Fernandes will meet on Thursday's in room 111 from 2:05 – 3:05.
JAYHAWK NEWSPAPER CLUB – Extra, Extra, Read All About It! – The Jayhawk Newspaper Club will meet after school on Thursday's in Room 205. We are looking for writers, reporters, artists, poll takers, photographers, and more. Refreshments are served! Please see Mrs. O’Brien or Mrs. Welsh if you have any questions.
MATHLETES – for 7th graders with Ms. Panayiotou – practice session on Thursdays will be in room 215, and the next competition is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10th.
MATHLETES II - All 8th graders who are up for the challenge, come on Wednesday‘s to Room 219 at 2:15. The next contest will be on Tuesday, February 10th.
MATH OLYMPIADS - If you are a 6th grader interested in working on some challenging math problems and participating in competitions, come to an informational meeting on Thursday’s in room 104.
PEER TO PEER TUTORING CLUB Calling all tutors! If you are a student who likes to help others while earning community service hours this is the perfect club for you. Please come to room 115 after school on Friday for an informational meeting about becoming a tutor. If you are a student who would like to be tutored please give Ms. Diehl or Mrs. Schisgall your name and the subjects you would like help with.
ROBOTICS CLUB will meet on Monday’s from 2:05-3:25 in room 121.
STRATEGY GAMES CLUB will meet on Friday at 2:15 in room 223. Come and enjoy games, snacks, and refreshments!
