DAY 1


Middle School students will be performing in the musical Mulan after school today at 2:15 and tomorrow evening at 7:00 in the Little Theater.


Jericho Middle School Toy Drive to Benefit the
John Theissen Children’s Foundation

Donations of new unwrapped toys can be dropped off in the bin outside of the Attendance Office until December 16th, 2016!!

 

We will be collecting socks from November to December. We are collecting all sizes for babies to adults. They must be new and can be any material. Put them in the bin by the school security desk.  Please help the community by donating.

 

Cold Hands – Warm Hearts….Please join the Art Club, VolunTeens, & FBLA in collecting all sizes of new and gently used: Coats, Hats, Gloves, Scarves and Blankets. Items will be donated to the Strong Youth Organization. Strong Youth is a youth, family & Community Organization in Long Island. Items will be collected in rooms 264, 118 and 126.

 

Advertising Club will meet on Mondays, in Room 114. Mrs. Riccuiti is looking forward to creating posters, entering contests, and advertising school events with you. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy some delicious snacks with us! 

ART CLUB meets on WEDNESDAYS in room 236. See Mrs. Clarke for details.

CHINESE CLUB will meet on Monday’s in room 207 with Ms. Guo.

Computer Club will meet in room 121 on Mondays with Mr. Pagliari.

Games Club with Mrs. Clemente will meet on THURSDAY'S from 2:05-3:05 in room 105. Bring a friend of make a new one playing popular board and card games. All are welcome!

Garden Club has been cancelled for now and will resume in the spring.

Geography Bee Club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays in Room 201 with Ms. Cantwell.

GSA CLUB (GAY-STRAIGHT ALLIANCE) will meet in room 102 after school on Fridays .Come be part of this exciting group. This Friday we will be selecting a name for our club mascot. Refreshments will be served.  See Ms. Waters for more details.

HOMEWORK CLUB will meet on Thursdays in ROOM 116 with Mrs. Bolton.  Feel free to come by for a snack and a fun and relaxing place to do homework or get help with your friends.  You may drop in any Thursday for any amount of time.  Hope to see you soon.  Snacks will be served. Any questions see Mrs. Bolton. :-)

Italian club with Signora Gangidino! Room 225 on Wednesdays. Come play Bocce, make Italian food & eat yummy snacks!

Jayhawk Newspaper Club Extra, Extra, Read All About It! – The Jayhawk Newspaper Club meets Thursdays after school in Room 205. We are looking for writers, reporters, artists, poll takers, photographers, and more to help create our online paper. Refreshments are served! Please see Mrs. O’Brien or Mrs. Welsh if you have any questions.

KUNG FU club meets Wednesdays in the hallway outside the locker rooms. See Mr. Pekor for details! 

MAD SCIENTIST’S CLUB with Mrs. Stile will meet on Thursdays, in room 111 at 2:05.

Attention Math Enthusiasts!

7th grade Mathletes with Ms. Panayiotou and 8th Grade Mathletes with Ms. Eatz will be meeting on Thursdays in room 215. Bring your thirst for knowledge and hunger for competition!  A snack will also be served.

Math Counts Club: Are you interested working on some challenging math problems and competing for a place on our Math Counts team?  Well come to room 219 on Fridays. See you there.

MATH OLYMPIADS for 6th Graders will meet in room 113 on THURSDAYS. All are welcome!

Robotics club meets Thursdays in room 121.

SADD: All students are invited to attend this week’s S.A.D.D. meetings on Thursday from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. in the Middle School Library Computer Lab. SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is a special after school club where we plan and participate in exciting school-wide programs.  Please join Ms. Verdino…..Delicious snacks will be served.

Spanish Club - will meet on WEDNESDAY THIS WEEK, right after school in room 220. Come and learn more about the culture of the Spanish-speaking world through fun activities. You do not need to know any Spanish to participate! All are welcome. Snacks and refreshments will be served. Any questions please see Ms. Vidal Nuñez. Hasta pronto!  

Strategy Games Club with Mr. Kovoros will be meeting on Thursday’s in room 223 from 2:05 - 3:05. Come enjoy some awesome games with friends and some tasty snacks!
