Next Current Events Forum will take place on Wednesday, April 5th at 2:15 pm – MS Library.
Middle School Spring Sports start Tuesday March 28th. All 7th and 8th grade students who want to participate must have a current physical on file in the Health office. The physical must be on the Jericho form. Students must also hand in 2 parent permission slips to the nurse no later than TODAY.
The 8th grade Community Service Learning Class is sponsoring Pets4Luv, a local animal rescue shelter located at the Source Mall. The homeroom class with the most donations will win a pizza party. Bins are located in homerooms. We are looking for the following donations:
dog/cat toys, dog food/cat food, supplies such as beds, blankets, combs, brushes, nail clippers, carriers, and cleaning supplies such as paper towels, Neosporin, alcohol wipes, disposable, medical latex-free gloves, garbage bags, & laundry detergent.
Garden Club will meet on Fridays in room 213 with Mrs. Viviano. Join us as we have fun planting around the school to make JMS look beautiful. Delicious snacks served ;)
HOMEWORK CLUB with Mr. Kuehn will be held in room 103 from 2:05-3:05 on Mondays.
Jayhawk Newspaper Club – Extra, Extra, Read All About It! – The Jayhawk Newspaper Club meets Thursdays after school in Room 205. We are looking for writers, reporters, artists, poll takers, photographers, and more to help create our online paper. Refreshments are served! Please see Mrs. O’Brien or Mrs. Welsh if you have any questions. The Jayhawk Newspaper website is now online. The website, http://jayhawknews.weebly.com can be found on the JMS homepage or your canvas account. Read articles your peers have written and feel free to post positive comments on our site. Our writers have worked very hard, and they are excited to have you read what they have created.
MATH OLYMPIADS for 6th Graders will meet in room 113 on THURSDAYS. All are welcome!
Robotics club will meet on MONDAY AND FRIDAY in room 121.
SADD: will be meeting on Wednesday and Thursday in the library computer lab to continue planning for our upcoming Cyberbullying Awareness Week. All students are welcome to join in to share creative ideas and be part of the planning for this special program. Delicious snacks will be served.
The Writing Contest Club will begin next week. If you are interested in writing and want to win money and prizes, this is the club for you. The club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays in Room 205 right after school.
