Every Wednesday is “Device Free Cafeteria Day!”  Please do not bring your phones, tablets or electronic games to the cafeteria on Wednesdays.  Instead, try talking to someone face-to-face, or read a book!  There are so many great things to do without electricity!

 

Attention readers!  Literacy Leader Book Reviews are due by September 29th to Ms. Mignone.  If you read three books this summer, submit your reviews and you will be invited to our celebration of reading.  Please see Ms. Mignone in the library for more information.  We are also running our Junior Librarian program again this year.  If you would like to volunteer in the library, see Ms. Mignone or Ms. Denninger for an application.

 

MONDAY

ADVERTISING CLUB will meet at 2:05 in Room 114. All are welcome to attend. We will create posters to advertise school events, enter contests, and share snacks. Mrs. Riccuiti is looking forward to seeing you every Monday.

DIVERSITY DAY CLUB will start on Wednesday Sept 27th  in room 103. See Mr. Kuehn for details.

MATH COUNTS CLUB: Are you interested working on some challenging math problems and competing for a place on our Math Counts team?  Well come to room 215 next Wednesday October 4th. Hope to see you there.

GEOGRAPHY BEE CLUB will meet in Room 201 with Ms. Cantwell.

COMPUTER CLUB will meet in the Computer Lab, Room 205 from 2:10-3:25 with Mr. Pagliari.

ART CLUB- Do you like to draw, paint and have an imagination? You are invited to attend the art club after school. Bring a friend to room (FACS) 236 from 2:15- 3:15. Any questions see Mrs. Clarke in room 236. Refreshments will be served.

ITALIAN CLUB will meet in room 225. Join Signora Gangidino for snacks Italian music, games, bocce & more! All are welcome!

CHINESE CLUB will meet in Room 219. We will have Chinese table games, art and craft, cooking, Chinese movie, Karaoke, Calligraphy, dance, sports, and much more throughout the year. Snacks will be provided. All students are welcome.

S.A.D.D.: All students are invited to attend this week’s S.A.D.D. meetings on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. in the Middle School Library Computer Lab. SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is a special after school club where we plan and participate in exciting school-wide programs.  At this week’s meetings, we will be planning and working on our upcoming annual Bully Prevention Kick-Off. Please join Ms. Verdino…..Delicious snacks will be served.

 

THURSDAY

SPANISH CLUB will meet on THURSDAY THIS WEEK right after school in room 220. Join us for fun activities as we explore the Spanish culture! You do not need to know Spanish or be in Spanish to participate - all are welcome! Snacks and refreshments will be served. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Vidal. Hasta luego!

Attention Math Enthusiasts! 8th GRADE MATHLETES with Ms. Eatz will be meeting on Thursdays in room 217.  The first meeting is this Thursday 9/28!  Bring your thirst for knowledge and hunger for competition! 

SCIENCE CLUB -If you love science experiments and making new friends, meet Mrs. Stile in room 111 at 2:05. Refreshments will be served!

PEER TO PEER TUTORING CLUB will meet in room 115 after school on Thursdays. See Ms. Schisgall for details.

FRENCH CLUB will meet on Thursdays with Madame Mueller in room 110.  A bientôt !

GAMES CLUB- Play popular board and card games with Ms. Clemente in Room 105. Bring a friend or make a new one.

NEWSPAPER CLUB – Extra, Extra, Read all about us! Newspaper Club is looking for reporters, photographers, and writers! Come join the fun! The first meeting will be Thursday, 9/14, in Room 205. Snacks will be served.
