 welcome to Jericho middle school

Jericho Middle School is a sensitive educational community in which we promote the social, emotional and intellectual growth of our students. Our focus is to provide a school setting that is responsive to their educational and developmental needs. Our vision, shared by students, educators, parents and community members, helps enable students to become good citizens, life-long learners and intellectually reflective individuals.

Friday, April 9th

A-Cohort Day 2

Next week is Diversity Week! It will be a whole week where JMS celebrates our awesome diverse community! This year’s theme is, “The More Variety, the Better Society.”

Monday is Diverse Foods Day! Check out the flipgrid on the Google Classroom and listen to your favorite teachers talk about important foods to them!

Tuesday is Diversity Art Day! Posters are displayed all over the building and virtually in the Google Classroom! Our contest winner will be announced!

Wednesday is DRESS TO EXPRESS yourself day. You can dress up however you want, as long as it is appropriate. Celebrate your culture or just celebrate your style!

Thursday is Diversity Literacy Day. Our poetry contest winner will be announced and we have a live zoom with author Marie Cruz of Everlasting Nora!

Friday we will end the week sporting our T-shirts, listening to diverse music, AND sharing a video!

Remember to fill out the Personal Best Check-in as often as you would like!

Writing Contest Club with Ms. Scalera will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15pm, REMOTE ONLY.
